Local Food Challenge By Will Dillon

The idea of the local food challenge is for a person to think about were their food comes from. Twenty years ago a person was able to consume the majority of their food that came from an area 100 miles or less. The following suggestions encourages a person to consider the possibilities that could enlighten them to think locally and to support the elimination of Food Deserts.
Think about how far your food has traveled.
Plan three meals around local foods.
Host or attend a local foods potluck.
Obtain as much food as possible directly from the producer, or a source that buys direct.
Grow food yourself or participate in a community garden.
Share food from your garden.
