UPCYCLING - RETHINK THE WAY YOU LIVE

SHIPPING CONTAINER HOMES

Yes, it may seem crazy to live in containers.
People live in more and more diverse houses finding ways to meet their needs and satisfy their attitude of nonconformist.  The lower building material cost is enticing with the average container costing about $2000.00.  These containers are readily available after they have reached their destination.  The cost to ship them back is very expensive so they get scrapped and melted down.  The re-purposing of the container makes them an eco-friendly choice.  The containers are virtually indestructible and can be easily stacked and welded together to create any structure you can imagine.  Container homes can have disadvantages and special challenges so do some research if this is something you are considering.  Here is a link you may find helpful.
