$500 Water Fine?!

Water drought is taking a huge effect on some places.  Although there has been more effort to conserve water in the South West such as taking shorter showers or fixing water facets,  in Pasadena, California, the city has come up with stronger methods to make water wasting stop for good.  Residences are getting fined for watering their grass!
According to an article from CBSnews.com,  “The State Water Resources Control Board  approved the rules earlier this month, making it illegal for people to hose down driveways and sidewalks, waste water on their lawns or wash vehicles using a hose without a shut-off nozzle.”  For a repeated offence, a fine up to 500 dollars can be give!!

Many people are upset about this and feel that the effort to give freedom to the use of water and water conservation are not being dealt with equally and efficiently.  Most water experts believe that the water drought will have a long-term impact on the state’s agriculture unless “better water management policies are introduced.”
