Power source pollution
Those two power source types differ in energy
source.
Let’s have a look at CNG. First question is: where does CNG comes from? CNG comes from the earth’s core, in a mixture of gases and then isolated into primary methane and ethane. It doesn’t carry much of importance of what happens next to the gas itself whether it gets stored or imported. Let’s look at a point where we have an end of the pipe where gas comes out and we hook up a CNG car that is efficient at 70/mpg where 1 CNG gallon cost about $3, and its pollution is almost none.

The second question is: where does electricity comes from? Electricity is a product of combined energy sources (see pic. link below). Basically all comes down to whether you take a shower, watch TV use you cell and etc. 4 times out of 10 you use coal power, which causes a big % of pollution in the whole world, and now plus to the list listed above your daily transportation. Just imagine every time the car is in charge 45% of it is coal burning. When looking at the statistics for the next 15-20 years are going to be still on 40% or more coal electricity. So basically when you drive an electric you drive a locomotive for next 15-20 years, unless you power it with solar, wind, nuclear or CNG generators!!! Electric means pollution!!!!
