Boiler Emissions Rule

The most recent news involving emissions is the change in the Boiler Emissions Rule. A change in this procedure was supported by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as well the Obama administration.

EPA is known for their strict regulations about anything that causes harm to the environment. They are fighting for every issue that in any way impacts the environment and the society.

The most recent issue that EPA has been involved with is the Boiler Emissions Rule. This new rule required different and new procedures which are more expensive than the old procedures that were already in place.

The new procedure that did get approved by the Obama administration affects 5,500 boilers that emit a lot of the pollution. That only accounts for 1% of all broilers in the United States. The other 99% of boilers comply with the old procedures, which are still as effective but definitely not as fast as the new approach proposed by the EPA recently.  This regulation has many supporters due to the fact that the new regulation is less aggressive, is not putting any jobs at risk and does not create an air of uncertainty.
