LGBTG people's aging problem

The declining birthrate, nuclear family and aging are affecting, and elderly people living alone are on the rise.In the past, communication among neighbors in the area was very actively. However, in recent times, there have been cases of lacking such connections and family relationships mainly in urban areas. Also, the old people of the LGBTQ are even more serious. And it rises the number of lonely deaths.

1. There is no child to look after

LGBTQ People are difficult to give children. So, it is a problem that there are no children or relatives look after retirement. Also, even if they have relatives, there is a lack of understanding of LGBTQ and it tends to be isolated.

2. The retirement allowance is low

Lifetime employment discrimination and salary differences are major problems for the elderly of LGBTQ. Even if they do the same work, there is a difference in salary because they are LGBTQs. Also, the retirement allowance is also small. So, after they retire, there are things that can be forced to a financial difficult environment. So, some people live a solitary life because they cannot enter the facility.

3. There are still discrimination

There are still many people who are prejudiced against LGBTQ. It seems it is as difficult for the LGBTQ to gain acceptance, as well as for the elderly, so if a person is both LGBTQ and elderly, it can be doubly hard. So, when they try to move to a facility like a nursing home, they may be discriminated. Such prejudice and discrimination give them mental stress. So, they tend to choose to live alone without living in the facility.
