Why Upcycle?

Upcycling is the process of converting older discarded materials into something useful. This is often times in the form of art, but can be in many other forms depending on what is being upcycled. Almost anything can be up cycled whether it is used clothing that you planned on throwing away all the way to the broken tiles lying around in your garage from the time you remodeled your kitchen.

Why you should consider upcycling:

Cost: Maybe the best part about Upcycling is the fact that it is free! You literally have nothing to lose and everything to gain in upcycling situations. It doesn't cost a penny and it will likely save you money on potential items that you won't need to buy since you upcycled your own items out of the things you already owned.

Creativity: Since upcycling requires taking something and making a new item out of it, it could spark ones creativity. The possibilities are basically endless. Obviously a person may have a hard time turning an old lamp into a picture frame, but you get the point…

Environmental Friendly: Often time’s items that can be used are thrown away. By upcycling you can help decrease the volume of landfills that are thought to be harmful to the environment. By spreading the word about upcycling you can also help raise awareness and potentially help the environment.

These are just some reasons why Upcycling is becoming a growing trend and it looks like it's only going to gain popularity as more people learn about it.
