When you think about the size 0.1 -0.5 how small that is and how freely it is floating in our ocean near our marine life and in our water systems. These are just tiny almost invisable pieces of plastic. To imagine the size 0.1 -0.5 they are about the size of a fish egg which is teeny tiny .http://www.capradio.org/56862 Really it isn't just the marine biology but ecodiversity that is effected by the micro beads.
This last link however ties how much damage the micro-beads are doing around our country. From Los Angeles to the great lakes the micro-beads are damaging the fine balance of our natural enviornment. We need to consider that these micro beads are in the toothpaste as well and currently the Canada is also in favor of banning the micro beads.
