Differences between different Cultures in senior care

When it comes to seniors and their lives it is very important to consider that just because you have aged it doesn’t mean that you have changed your perspectives in life or the ideas that you have developed throughout your life, this is especially true when it comes to different cultures and an understanding of this is important to take in consideration to seniors and what it means to age.

Seniors of different cultures talking about life
In the United States culture, its common within Caucasians to either want to stay at their own house when they age but it is becoming more common to have them move to a retirement home/ housing in order to provide them with a better lifestyle and have them be more active. Now this does help when it comes to having a social life and being active, since they are being placed in a place that has people of similar ages and so similar timeframe of life and ideas, but  the act of moving a person from their own home by force or by consent still has a great impact on their life span, on http://www.lifecarefunding.com it said that even though the life expectancy is increasing and more and more people are living past the expectancy of 78 (on average)  by moving them to a new place during those ages it reduces their probability of living longer by 50% so if they had 10 more years to live then by moving them to a new place it has reduced it by about half because of their fragile states of mind and health. The move becomes a big change in their lives and that affects their health and life expectancy and even though their life expectancy has changed it doesn’t compare to the life expands of other cultures living in the united states.

On average in the United States (https://www.kff.org) Caucasians live on average up to 78 years of age comparing it to Latinos (82 years) and Asian Americans (86 years) there is a gap of 4 to 8 years between the average life expectancies. Now the questions of what changes between these cultures that are living in the same country and on average are living pretty decent lives is that in Hispanic and Asian Cultures they are used to having more than one generation of family members living under the same roof. A lot of people might think that this in itself doesn’t make to much of a difference in peoples lives but by having the family united and together and allowing for those generations to interact with each other it really helps seniors have a happier and healthier life and to share more of what they have learned with those around them. This also helps them keep their minds sharp and allows for socialization which is very important for their health. So taking all this into consideration and seeing that retirements homes have not caught up to those living with their families where should we be going with the future of seniors? from this information, it seems like the future is having them stay in place and living their lives to their natural state.
